Megan Barnes
Program Director, Orange County Region

Megan Barnes is often referred to as the Foundation’s “Ambassador of Enthusiasm.” Her high energy and zest for life are infectious as she motivates Simon Scholars in her capacity as Program Director for the Simon Family Foundation. Born and raised in Phoenix, AZ, Megan attended Cal State Fullerton where she graduated in 2007 with a degree in communications and received the Outstanding Senior Award from the Human Communications department. Megan met her husband, Brent, while they both attended CSUF, and they were married in 2008. Megan became an integral part of the Simon Family Foundation in the summer of 2007. As a survivor of cancer, Megan is uniquely qualified to inspire others through her own life story and in knowing firsthand how to encourage and inspire young people with her empathetic voice. Megan enjoys dance, theater, and traveling with her husband and family.
